Your Brain On Fentanyl

In the new video from AsapSCIENCE, we get a good look at Fentanyl and how it works. You may be familiar with this drug that was initially made into a patch to be attached to the skin of a terminal patient. It worked so well that the patches began to be prescribed for post-surgical pain and then for chronic pain patients, and also made available in lollipop and tablet form. A rash of overdoses has been traced to heroin dealers adding Fentanyl to lower-quality heroin in order to boost its effect. Fentanyl is not to be messed with. (via Digg)
